Choosing a name for the wolves can be a difficult decision!
The Oshkosh Zoological Society kicked off a wolf naming contest at Zooloween Boo. Guests chose their favorite male and female wolf names by donating money into jars. At the end of the day, Echo and Rain were the leading female names and River and Thunder were the leading male names. For the next two weeks, we ran an online naming contest in partnership with Huterra.org. Afterwards, Echo and Sienna were the winning female names. Among the male names, Rebel overtook River and Thunder remained the favorite. Overall, the contest raised $229.50 which will go toward improving the educational experience at the zoo next summer.
